Is there any other packages that will make the 520GU work more like a computer in that it finds the best signal of a given essid and connects to it, rather then me have to specify a channel?

Also, how about a list of essid's and encryption that it will just try till it gets an association and dhcp and can see the internet? Surely this is something that other people want the device to do. As the config stands at the moment, I will have to reconfigure it between moving it around the house since my AP's are all on different channels (for obvious reasons)

I agree, this would be cool. There might be some code out there. I would post/check on the OpenWrt forums.
