Installing Firmware and Apps Using WAMP Server

Post by IrrKlang_704 »

Dear Friends,
Does any one know how to install the apps on the firmware using WAMP Server, as Brother Jeff has mentioned. A step by step solution will be appreciated.

What do you mean by upgrading the firmware through a WAMP server? The firmware is upgraded by TFTP'ing it to the router. I cannot find any mention by Jeff of using a WAMP server.

I would like to ask as Jeff Keyzer has asked he has installed the apps on router using Apache Server running on his Mac. I want to do the same using windows XP. Any help would be highly appreciated.

In my original experimentation (and my notacon talk), I hosted the packages on an apache server running on my Mac.

I am not familiar with WAMP - but since it includes apache for windows, it should work. If you can get a webserver working, you should be able to host packages for the router (assuming your opkg.conf is set up correctly!)
