CM119 noise at boot

Post by borre »

Hello,

I followed a bit of the instructions to make a streaming radio.
I have a asus wl500GP with oleg firmware and a CM119usb sound adapter.

It works perfect with
mpd (MPD: Music Player Daemon) 0.15.15
mpc version: 0.19

But when I start the router the usb soundcard make a few (load and annoying) sound.
They are like "plug in sounds" (plop plop) is there a way to disable this?

You could try another USB-audio sound device. Some amount of startup sound is probably unavoidable. There might be a way to design a "mute' circuit for the audio output that would eliminate this problem by disconnecting the audio until some number of milliseconds after powerup.
