Power supply

Post by JakobCS »

Hello!
I'm planning to use a Geiger counter for a college project regarding self sufficient power supply of sensor systems and stumbled upon the MightyOhm Kit. The Geiger-Müller-tubes it is using seem to all require a voltage of ~300V but requires only two AAA Batteries.
Now to my question: Does the Kit run solely on those two batteries or do I need an external power source on top of that?

Thanks in advance!

The kit requires two AAA batteries. The high voltage power supply is generated inside the kit so you only need the two batteries for the kit to work.
