USB-audio adapters known to work with OpenWrt/mpd
Re: USB-audio adapters known to work with OpenWrt/mpd
Hi,
Thanks for all advice!
I ordered the USB2.0 EXTERNAL 7.1 AUDIO PC SOUND CARD ADAPTOR PC204-1 on Ebay at Eupix, paid $6.99 including transport and it works! Although the site claims a CM119 it has a CM 108 as far as I can see on the packaging. No problem to me as it really works!!! No alsa needed...

I'm waiting for small soundcards but I've tried Soundblaster Surround 5.1 and 2 channels works
Also by curiosity I tried professional soundcard Native Instruments Audio DJ 4 with no luck.. maybe it needs USB2.0

What exact model Soundblaster cards did you try? And do you know what chipset they use?hub.martin wrote:I'm waiting for small soundcards but I've tried Soundblaster Surround 5.1 and 2 channels works

I did some research about chipset but I found nothing.
The soundcard is Creative Sound Blaster Live! 24-Bit External. But I have it in whole white color and with no remote control (but there still is some IR receiver inside - maybe some time I try to make it work on linux)

It seems to be model # 70SB049000000. I can't find a chipset for it either.

I just got this WiFi radio up and running from parts in my house. I used an old Asus WL-520GU router and THIS plantronics usb sound card.
This Plantronics sound card came with a set of Plantronics headset that I bought a long time ago. It works perfectly.

My only concern is, I used wrtradio 0.3, but want to use a usb keypad with cmdpad, but now the usb port is used by the Plantronics sound card. I will try and use a USB hub.

I can confirm that the Plantronics USB Adapter from the previous poster works. One small difference, mine says Plantronics "DSP Adapter-01" (not "USB Adapter -02") but looks the same and it works great.

I've bought the cheapest soundcards on DealExtreme. They work perfectly.
