Short RP-SMA pigtail w/panel connector?
I'm building a wooden case for my WL-520gU radio (I'm going to use an old tube radio for an amp, and I'd like something vaguely retro). I'd like to add a panel mounted antenna connector to the wooden case, running a short pigtail to the back of the WL-520gU inside. Such a pigtail is proving surprisingly hard to find. Any suggestions or alternatives would be greatly appreciated.

I'd suggest you avoid the whole exercise. I've placed a WL-520gu inside a old radio and the wireless worked just fine. Besides, you would be introducing a foreign element to the old case that could detract from its authenticity.

I wasn't sure how it would work without an external antenna - thanks for letting me know!

You could check Digikey, Mouser, and Newark, but I don't think such a pigtail will come cheap. Specialized RF cable companies like Pasternack would probably make one for you, too. Have you checked eBay?

If someone does find this item, please post the information here. I am also looking for one of them.

I did find this one: http://www.data-alliance.net/-strse-155 ... Detail.bok. Not exactly what I was looking for (I was hoping for a panel-mount to attach the antenna to), but for four bucks it might be worth a try. No mention of what kind of coax it is, but again - for four bucks...
I'll keep looking and post back when I find something.

Here's another option:

Not quite what you were looking for but an option if you don't mind soldering to the PCB.
Edit: Nevermind, those are SMA, not RP-SMA.
