Re: GBA interface for wireless radio

My original thought was that if you are trying to turn the GBA into a wireless radio, running Linux would take care of a lot of the details for you. But reading your post again I think you are planning to use the GBA as a display instead, right?

Re: Playing other streams

Haha, well good luck. :D

I'm still curious why you need mpc to control the remote machine. Doesn't icecast take care of that function for you?

Re: Playing other streams

Ok, I didn't realize that you wanted to play the music stored on the server via the router. I think you are on the right track: icecast on the music server PC mpd on the router, set to play the icecast stream mpc to control the mpd instance on the router another client to control icecast on the PC f...

Re: Playing other streams

I don't know if I've tried using mpc on the router to control my PC, but I have certainly done it the other way around, with my PC (or iphone) controlling the router over the LAN. As long as mpd is running on the PC you want to control, it should work. The default configuration opens a port (I think...

best way to remove solder flux?

I usually use Isopropyl Alcohol (90+%) from the drugstore, but even after scrubbing I get a slight white residue that is really difficult to remove. The best stuff I have found is MG Chemicals Heavy Duty Flux Remover, but it smells terrible and is probably horrible for me and the environment. What i...

Re: WIFI RSS ticker project

That is super cheap!
I'll have to find a use for these.

I would definitely like to include a picture of this project in my notacon talk. Do you mind if I include the video too?

I'm including a link back to each project in the slides - do you have a preferred page for me to link to?

who is using USB mass storage?

I know a few people are using USB memory sticks with the WL-520gU. I started playing with one this past weekend and ran into a weird issue - large memory sticks (1GB) won't mount if they are formatted with FAT. They do mount with ext3, however. My 128MB stick works fine with FAT. No issues. Is anyon...
