Re: Output pulse and data wire.
Hey Jeff have you played with this yet. I tried my best to create a plug that would work with the Geigerbot and iPhone but was unsuccessful. If you could figure that out I would build more if your kits and put it in a full enclisure with a phone jack hookup for the iPhone.

Re: Iphone Hookup
Maybe I spoke too soon. It is not working consistently. Can you tell me what how much juice is coming out of the pulse?

How to you measure the voltage
I want to figure where to measure the voltage that the HV is putting out with a meter. Do you put postitive from the meter on TP2, and the negative on the negative of where it connects to the tube? or what?

Iphone Hookup
BTW, your pulse output works with iphone and geiger bot. All you have to do is hook up pin one and two of the pulse header to ground and yellow of 4 conductor plug. Works great.

Re: having trouble with Arduino
OK, so I'm a little embarrassed, but the serial plug was turned around. It is working fine now.
Sorry for the confusion.
In case anyone wants to know, the order of the wires goes as follows, from left to right if you are looking down on the plug:
BLACK - BROWN - RED - ORANGE - YELLOW - GREEN

Re: having trouble with Arduino
TTL-232R-3V3
USB to TTL Serial Cable (3.3V) made by FTDI Chip
It has the exact specs as the one you suggested.
What are the TX and RX pins? are you saying pull the plug on from the geiger and connect two of the wires on the serial plug?

Re: having trouble with Arduino
Oh, crap, I was under the impression that logging was done via serial to usb and then from arduino. I just want to log the counts. I am on a mac. Do you know of any way I can log on a mac? Or do you or anyone know how to make Arduino work with this Geiger? Within Arduino there are choices for severa...

having trouble with Arduino
I can't seem to get the logging to work. I just got one of the USB cables you suggested, I have arduino set at 9600 baud, and for board, I am not sure which one to pick. Here is a copy of messages I am getting: Do I need to make adjustments to the sketch? Part of it is highlighted in yellow: not sur...

Re: Output pulse and data wire.
can you tell me how much voltage/amp, etc is coming out of the pulse? Tried reading it with a meter, but I am not too versed in that type of stuff. I am a great assembler though... Here's Geiger Bot homepage: (might be good to plug them as it would make your GC more mobile) https://sites.google.com/...
