Re: Very simple Raspberry Pi Radio
Thanks for your fast reply! The display is working but without any backlight (so you cannot use it in the dark). Up to now I have tried the following - nothing worked: Apply 4.1 or 4.3 to A and K; I did that by building a voltage divider and I only had resistors that resulted in 4.1 and 4.3 volts. A...

Re: Very simple Raspberry Pi Radio
Thanks you very much for your fast reply :-) Here is a macro foto of the LCD: http://www.flickr.com/photos/rigasw/8544653517/in/photostream Yes, there is something like J1 or J2, but I have no idea on how to make use of those little dots ... At the moment I connected PIN 15 and 16 to 5V/GND, but acc...

Re: Very simple Raspberry Pi Radio
Hi Gerben,
that really looks cool!
I recently have connected a 16x2 LCD to the pi. (I want a solution without a screen, be it on a notebook or a smartphone).
Fotos will follow

Re: Very simple Raspberry Pi Radio

Re: Very simple Raspberry Pi Radio
The "in box version" will have LEDs in two different colors. I use an USB sound stick now; sound quality is better than with the built in one. What I am still looking for is a software / addon for mpd that can be used as an eqalizer and that can as well be controlled using the remote. (I s...

At the moment the radio is moving into it's own box.
Here a photo when it still was running on a breadboard:

Re: Very simple Raspberry Pi Radio
The number of albums I want to make available via my RaspRadio is limited (< 100). So for every album I built an extra playlist using something like mpc clear mpc search any "Rostropovich" | mpc add .. some playlist editing with mpc del or mpc add. And finally: mpc save Bach_Cello_Suiten_R...
