FYI, the Syba SD-CM-UAUD USB Stereo Audio Adapter, C-Media Chipset (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001MSS6CS) works with OpenWrt, at least the Kamakazi build on the MightyOhm site. I'm using it with a WL-500gP v2 and haven't encountered any problems so far.
