Logging Data To Arduino Mega2560

I have the Geiger Counter working just fine. My problem is logging data. I need to send this geiger counter on a high altitude balloon payload so obviously using the computer to log data will not work. We are using an arduino mega2560 to control everything on the payload. I can't find anything anywhere that tells me how to log data from the geiger counter to the arduino mega2560. I would assume I would use the pulse pins on the geiger counter to the arudino mega2560 but I need help with that. Someone please help!
