Parallel SBM-20s for Increased Sensitivity?

This Geiger counter at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power plant uses five SBM-20 tubes.

The lowest scale on the meter reads in counts per second.
Looks like they may be wired in parallel.
Do you think the MightyOhn kit can handle 2 or more SBM-20 tubes in parallel for increased sensitivity?
