Which inductor type for boost converter?

Post by peterloron »

Howdy. Can you provide some more information on which type of 22uH inductor is used for L1? I bought the PCB and am slowly gathering the parts to put it together. I have a 23uH axial inductor, but no SMT one, so I'm probably going to place an order and need to know which ones to buy...

Thanks!

L1 is a 22nH 0805 chip inductor (not wirewound). The specs are pretty easy so most 22nH 0805 footprint inductors are probably fine for this. I'm using a Taiyo Yuden LB-series part: LBR2012T220K.

Thanks for the response. FYI...the schematic posted at the link below shows L1 as 22uH, not 22nH.

That's the RF engineer in me, sorry, 22uH (microhenries) is correct.
