I got & assembled this counter two months ago, and I was looking for a way to hook it up to a higher-level device, e.g. an Android phone. I initially thought of a bluetooth module in SPP mode, but I saw the thread, relating Geiger Bot a few weeks ago, so I went along that path.
In fact, I've just written up a tutorial how to set everything up, and it turns out Jeff did the same JUST TWO WEEKS AGO
But anyways, I decided to share with you guys, as my approach is a little bit different.
The schematics are basically the same; I'm using, however, a different approach in interfacing the thing, using a RCA female socket, mounted in the plastic:
This allows you to easily remove the cable, and you can actually use a normal TV-out-splitter cable (TRRS-to-3-RCA).

What's more, I really want to get this app running on an Android (I'm not a huge fan of Apple products. Even that iPad I got was a gift, I wouldn't have bought this thing myself
). Any ideas of an alternative app in the Android world? If there's none, then I'll probably reimplement it there (after learning Java of course )
