Site maintenance notice...
This weekend the site is being transferred to a new hosting service. There may be some brief outages or weird site behavior during the migration. Thanks for your patience.

Re: How start everything again from the zero?
Glad you got it figured out!
If it makes you feel better, I have hosed my router multiple times and had to start over again from scratch. The good news is that after 4 or 5 times, I could get the router flashed and configured within 15 minutes or so.

Re: OpenWrt kernel modules crash?
Mixing repositories sounds scary to me and I can't vouch for any except mine. If you have access to a Linux box, I would compile your own boot image and package files instead. That way you have full control over what packages are built and you know that they will work with the version of the kernel ...

Re: Decent audio adapters.
I'll admit that my router + USB-audio adapter setup is FAR from audiophile quality. There is a fair amount of digital noise that makes it onto the audio output. I haven't really tried to solve this, but it should be doable with some extra filtering and bypassing on the USB-audio adapter. I'm not awa...

Re: Display alternatives?
There was a 2 line VFD display that All Electronics was selling really cheap a couple years ago. I don't know how many characters wide it was, but it would definitely be readable from a distance. It was pretty large. I have played with 20x4 displays on the router and in my experience they are a pain...

Bummer. Any idea what is causing the bloat, and whether it can be stripped out?

Looking for feedback...
For those of you who have purchased one of my AVR Rescue Shield kits, can you share your experiences on this forum?
Were you able to get the kit assembled and working? What was your target AVR? Any suggestions or improvements you would like to see?
