Re: Any chance for a board to be produced?

Are other people interested in boards as well? I'm not sure what the economics would be of a small run, but I can look into it.

DNS fix for local name resolution

I have been troubleshooting various DNS issues on my local network this week, and I made an observation that may help other folks who want local DNS resolution working on their router. My router is set to use DHCP on my wireless LAN. I am using a hacked Linksys router running DD-WRT, which allows yo...

Re: very slow mpd

I think I've seen this too. You could try reducing the audio buffer size in /etc/mpd.conf, but you may experience skips in playback as a result. ########################### BUFFERING ########################## # # The size of the buffer containing decoded audio. You probably # shouldn't change this....

Re: OpenWrt kernel modules crash?

I have had some success mounting large USB drives formatted with ext3. I'm not sure what the upper limit is, I may have only tried up to 1GB.

Re: OpenWrt kernel modules crash?

I would be very interested in all the work you have done. I've been fighting all the day with the old version of MightyOhm OpenWRT Kamikaze with any success. It does not support fat or HFS+ mounts bigger than 1GB and cifs mount also crashes with "Segmentation fault" and error 22. Is your ...

Re: Decent audio adapters.

I don't think so, I looked into this briefly when I was originally playing with the router and I think that /dev/sound/mixer is a binary device and requires more than a simple redirect to change settings.

Re: FIXED - mpd wont install.

That is really weird! I haven't had that particular problem before. Glad you found a fix. One thing to be aware of is that I think if you fill up the flash, your filesystem can get trashed. I think this is a limitation of jffs. I can't find the post that talks about this now, but in the past when I ...

Re: Installing python to USB

If you can figure out what IP address the router was assigned by your network, it should work, assuming you set up the firewall as I described in part 9 of my Wifi Radio tutorial . Your wireless router might have a status page that shows what devices are connected - you can guess which one is the ro...

New RSS feeds

Over the long weekend I installed some new extensions that add RSS feeds to the forums. There are several global feeds that will show things like recent posts to all forums, as well as specific feeds for each sub-forum, accessible from within the forum. If you're using Firefox, you should be able to...
