I'd suggest you avoid the whole exercise. I've placed a WL-520gu inside a old radio and the wireless worked just fine. Besides, you would be introducing a foreign element to the old case that could detract from its authenticity.

Winamp does a great job of decoding the underlying URL for streams.

Play the stream you want, then go to File | View File Info.

I might not be an uber-linux geek like you and others, but I do have persistence.

When I figure it out with the help of others, I'll document it so it can be replicated.
