Re: Asus RT-N10U

Seems like it has 8MB flash, so enough to install the normal OpenWrt image, and install MPD via dpgk. DO NOT install the image from the tutorial. Not sure you can find any OpenWrt image for it though. See https://forum.openwrt.org/viewtopic.php?id=37414 I think, you best bet would be to try the brcm...

Re: No Wireless, No address

Try disabling WEP. This makes finding the problem a bit easier. The only difference I can see is, that in my setup, I set the lan interface to DHCP. (I have setup static-dhcp on my dsl-router, so the Asus always has the same IP).

Re: Very simple Raspberry Pi Radio

I see the label on the box is still blank?!

Search for pulseaudio-equalizer . The newest rasbian uses pulseaudio for sound-management. I cannot test it here, because I have reverted back no no pulseaudio. This because it added a few seconds of delay at startup. I hate waiting :-)

Re: Very simple Raspberry Pi Radio

Looks nice. Wouldn't it be easier to read if you used two different color leds? e.g. orange for 10's and green for 5/1's

Re: Very simple Raspberry Pi Radio

Wouw. I didn't know IRexec could do sequences. That could be pretty useful. Thanks for sharing your way of adding albums. Since all my albums are in a separate folder, I would probably write so code to automatically load next folder, or something.

Re: Very simple Raspberry Pi Radio

Looks great. Thanks for sharing. One thing I did was, have the is broadcast (wall) the output of mpc to all terminals, when I press a button. This way, when my tv is on, I can see what is playing. I even looked into writing directly to the framebuffer, to show some album-art. But since I haven't use...

Re: Very simple Raspberry Pi Radio

Great. Seems like the hardware is working.
~/.lircrc
So in your home directory (/home/pi).

If irexec can't find the file, it will exit immediately. I just tested it on my pi.

Re: Very simple Raspberry Pi Radio

I just winged it.

Looking at it now 2.2K combined with the 3.3V would result in 1.5mA of current. Which is way below the max of 16mA the raspberry can handle. So it seems I guesstimated correctly.
