Re: PID Thermo controller

I succeeded in running a SSR with the C100. My unit seems to be slightly different than the pictures posted earlier but the idea is the same. I removed the relay altogether and just ran the switching signal to the terminal posts. Here are some before and after pictures: http://www.mediafire.com/?bb...

Re: PID Thermo controller

Ok, completed my unit wiring today. I hung the thermocouple down among the heater elements, and power up the mains. Unit immediately came up, with set point of 100C, and about 20C indicated. Heater coils are three 2kw, and each has its own SSR. The SSR primary are all in parallel with the PID screw ...

Re: PID Thermo controller

I examined the circuit board and it looks like there's a couple of ways to set this up. Here's what I altered, to provide SSR output: http://www.penguinscouts.com/IMG_0031rs.JPG This disconnects the #3 screw terminal trace tab from the relay secondary common, converts the #3 screw terminal trace to ...

Re: PID Thermo controller

Cracked open the "C100", I'll post up some photos soon. For those who aren't afraid of doing some soldering, this cheap model can actually be modified to do stuff you'd have to pay more for. Things I've figured out so far: 220VAC transformer drops to 12VAC and 10VAC, which then go to brid...
