Re: Controlling mpd using the SES/AOSS/EZ-SETUP button
I'm still a "script kiddie" and have been following the guides to get my radio working to the way I want it (streamed pls starting on router power-up). I don't get how to really import scripts to get them to work, I figured I'd try a copy/paste, but that didn't seem to do what was needed. ...

Re: 8.09 + mpd/mpc + NFS
Tricks that I found out, assuming you set up the windows nfs server according to any instruction on the internet: start portmap from the start on the router (i do it manually because i don't know how to do it otherwise) in windows, you have to share the folder with NFS sharing (right click -> sharin...

Re: 8.09 + mpd/mpc + NFS
I now have a windows folder (and subfolders) mounted and being read by mpd/mpc. A big thanks to puppycrack and MightyOhm, I'm now 90% of the way to what I have been dreaming of (wifi jukebox). My next tasks will be to figure out how to make multiple windows folders (as in C:\music, external hd D:\mu...

Re: 8.09 + mpd/mpc + NFS
nfs-client doesn't exist. I put nfs-utils. Will see if that works. Thanks edit: I get a "permission denied" error when attempting to mount, which may be because of this impossible windows nfs server. However, attempting to mount I can also get "cannot create directory /mnt/media: no s...

Re: Is this the NAS/"upnp" fix we need?
While I don't have experience with shfs directly (I use nfs instead), the way to install this would be through the opkg package manager used by openwrt: opkg install kmod-shfs shfs-utils The only problem there is that kamikaze doesn't include them. Like I said, I'm new to linux and openwrt. I need ...

Re: Is this the NAS/"upnp" fix we need?
I got Ario to work with pls/m3u (I believe), although still only from internet sources. I can't get it to work with m3u's from my windows laptop hard drive. Which is hopefully what I can achieve with the shfs/nfs fixes. I would love to get mpd to catalog my external hard drives (connected to windows...

Is this the NAS/"upnp" fix we need?
New here, joined up when I saw the lifehacker/tinkernut links. I got mine working yesterday but am disappointed in mpd's inability to play .pls and m3u (although that may be the limitation of ario and Gnome) Googling around, I found this: http://lithostech.com/2009/01/openwrt-wifi-radio-part-2 I am ...
